FY 2022-2023 Community Grants

CIRCLE Organization

The organization was awarded a grant to support CIRCLE’s STAMP Social Justice Leadership Camps are for rising 9th - 12th graders. Each camp builds on the others as campers move through their own identity & leadership journey, developing an understanding of their own leadership style and how to spark positive change in their communities; and be prepared to enter new spaces where they can lead and be their authentic selves.

Sims-Fayola Foundation

The organization was awarded a grant to support I am a Fayola Man Summer Leadership Academy. This is a 15-week leadership camp for young men and boys of color in grades 6-12. The camp components are focused on character development, STEM, financial literacy, student voice and leadership, arts, career awareness, and academic readiness. We feel that all camp aspects are relevant and accessible by all of our target grades and ages. Through a collaborative initiative with other local non-profit and for-profit organizations, we will use group and e-mentoring platforms and social, emotional learning (SEL) as the foundation for this work. The camp's overarching intended outcome is to establish a working framework for the young men that they can use to advocate for and facilitate their own improved academic, social, and life outcomes.
